Research Information Assistant (LIB076)

Library Services is at the heart of the student and academic experience at University of West London, facilitating creation of knowledge and ideas and developing confident, critically information-literate professionals.

We are looking for the right individual to support all aspects of research and scholarly communication provision within Library Services.

They will create and maintain quality metadata for research and scholarship outputs, ensure the UWL Repository meet the needs of UWL's academic community, and ensure relevant data is collected systematically and proactively.

They will report to, and support the Research Support Manager in cross-institutional work to develop and support UWL's cultures of research and scholarship; assisting with scholarly communication support, training, and promotional activities.

The preferred candidate will have experience of working in a higher education or research environment, with awareness and understanding of current scholarly communication processes and Open Access. They will be IT literate, and able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in their work.

Please be advised that it is expected that appointment within a grade will normally be at the minimum point.
