Technical Specialist - Motorsport and Future Mobility (TS18-04)

In Technical Services at Staffordshire University we are looking for a curious and daring individual to join the Smart Technology team. The role will be to deliver high level instruction and support to students in their studies - and extra-curricular opportunities such as Formula Student - in the areas of Motorsport and Future Mobility. 

You will be working as part of team and will have a demonstrable knowledge of the practical application and understanding of transportation technology, electric motorsport, electric vehicles, the mobility ecosystem, renewable energy, UAVs, AI, deep learning and associated technologies and practices. 

The person sought must have a flexible and innovative approach to supporting the technical service requirements, with a passion for keeping current with industry practice and emerging technologies, and the ability to develop skills in new areas. The role holder will be required to provide an excellent level of customer service with strong people support skills and with the ability to ensure that deadlines are met.
