We are currently seeking a Student Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic Student Marketing and Portfolio team on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work in the Higher Education sector alongside other talented professionals.

Supporting the Email and Student Marketing Managers, youwill assist the Student Marketing team in delivering the student attraction and recruitment plan through multiple integrated channel marketing activities.

You will have excellent planning, project co-ordination and communications skills alongside strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple task concurrently. You will be confident to work alongside other marketing, admissions and recruitment colleagues as well as colleagues within the three faculties on recruitment and marketing campaigns.

Alongside supporting marketing activities and events such as open day and webinars, the post holder will be responsible for monitoring the budget including managing day to day purchase order and requisition requests, as well as being confident to deal with queries from external suppliers. You will also lead on the recruitment and running of our social media ambassador scheme across both undergraduate and postgraduate campaigns.

The successful candidate will have:

A keen interest and experience of working on integrated marketing and communications projects          Excellent planning, project management, influencing and communication skills are essential with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with all levels of stakeholder and manage multiple projects concurrently. Strong experience of managing budgets and day to day finance tasks such as invoices Strong experience and understanding of reporting on and analysing campaign data

The Student Marketing, Admissions and Recruitment division is comprised of several distinct areas incorporating Market Insight and Data; Student Marketing and Portfolio, International and UK/EU Recruitment; and Admissions. The Department is responsible for ensuring that the University is optimally positioned; attracting, engaging and managing the applications from prospective students in domestic and international markets with our target audiences across Undergraduate, Postgraduate taught and Postgraduate research.

In line with the university’s corporate strategy and ambition to attract prospective students globally to increase the diversity of the student body, the division is focussed on delivering innovative initiatives that ensure the university remains competitive.

The division, which consists of over 70 colleagues, works closely together to attract and support applications and resulting enrolments of appropriate students by conducting smart research and insight, delivering compelling and creative marketing campaigns, running strategic recruitment activity and managing robust and professional admissions processes.
