With particular expertise in environmental law, international law, criminal justice, and corporate governance, the School provides an excellent environment for top quality legal education and research.

Successful candidates will seek to develop their own and the School's profile and to enrich the academic environment and impact of the Law School and the College of Social Science of which it forms part. The School, for instance, is running as from 2018 an MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice between ourselves and the School of Social and Political Sciences.

The School would welcome applications from candidates with a strong research profile, with research interests in any area of criminal justice. They would also be expected to hold a law degree and be able to teach on the law degree.

We are ideally looking to appoint a Reader to this position however there may be an opportunity for a strong candidate who does not meet the criteria for Reader to be appointed as Senior Lecturer.
