This position is in the Library’s Digital Innovation and Research Services team and provides expert advice along with operational and administrative support to Lancaster University’s compliance with REF requirements. The team provides a range of research support activities in the scholarly communications domain, especially on the topics of Open Access, Research Data Management, Digital Preservation and Citations Development.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and take on a demanding role. The position provides administrative support for REF output eligibility criteria validation and will require attention to detail and liaison with academics, research services staff and research students. 

You should have experience of providing excellent customer-service focused administrative support; experience within a research environment in a higher education institution is an advantage but not essential. You should be confident using computer packages to complete tasks quickly and accurately within strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential as is a commitment to providing high standards of customer service and working closely with a supportive and friendly team. You should be self-motivated and keen to develop new skills which will be supported by peers and managers. 

This is a part-time (0.4 FTE) fixed-term position until 31st of December 2020.
