Applications are invited for the following Research Administrator post based in the School of Medicine, Division of Rehabilitation and Ageing.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Administrator to join our Research team. With good organisation skills and a methodical approach to planning, you will be given the responsibility to prioritise the team’s administrative workload. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the research team. You will be an excellent communicator, with good written and interpersonal skills, and experienced in a wide range of accounting procedures. The role is diverse, as an administrative role it requires initiative, diligence and discretion.

The‘Promoting Activity, Independence and Stability in Early Dementia’ (PrAISED) Research Programme

The PrAISED research programme will test a multi-component intervention to maintain and increase independence in people with mild cognitive impairment and early dementia. The randomised controlled trial will include five research sites in England and Wales. The research team consists of about 30 people from the Universities of Nottingham and Bangor as well as NHS Nottingham University Hospital Trust.

Candidates should be familiar with research and academic environments, and have experience in research administration, financial monitoring and have exceptional interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications, be familiar with NHS as well as University research procedures, and have excellent IT skills, organisational and communication skills with a methodical and accurate approach to work with attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising closely with the researchers and providing general administrative support to the research team, managing the master file, monitoring finances and research site files, supporting completion and submission of protocol amendments, maintaining records, organising meetings and processing invoices. The successful candidate will be able to manage their own workload and work as a part of the research team. 

This post is available from 01 November 2018 and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 13 March 2022. The hours of work will be 36.25. Job share maybe considered.
