Research Fellow in Intelligent Sensor Systems (Fixed Term) (COS522A)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a PhD/Masters with a pending PhD level candidate to design and develop a new intelligent sensor system for large food storage warehouses for fresh agricultural produce.  The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team including researchers from UK and India engaged in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science, Food Science, Packaging Technology and Agriculture. The candidate must be available to travel within the UK and India.  This position is initially fixed term until 30th April 2020 with good opportunities for personal development and training. The post is suitable for candidates with practical and experimental experience of electronics-related projects in sensor networks, Arduino/Raspberry Pi or similar technologies as well as experience of programming in C/C++. The post holder will have the ability to interpret and clearly articulate technical information to large audiences as well as authoring research outputs of national and international standing.
