Description :

The University needs a Lead Mental Health Practitioner and Deputy Head of University Counselling and Mental Health Service to provide clinical oversight for the Counselling and Mental Health team, alongside the Head of Service. The team supports students to gain maximum benefit from their time at the University.

You will have substantial experience of providing mental health care, including working with people with complex difficulties/experiencing crisis. You will need to co-ordinate, advise and support staff working with a diverse group of students, assist in designing appropriate service models to meet the changing demands on a service dealing with acute difficulties, and ensuring that associated risks are evaluated and mitigated. You will need to be emotionally resilient and able to support and motivate staff dealing with complex caseloads.

This is a full time, indefinite role.
