Can you provide technical support to research studies? Do you have excellent analytical,organisational and time-management skills? Do you have technical skills in histology and molecular biology?

Funded by NIHR/ Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, you will work as part of a technical team providing technical laboratory support for colorectal cancer research team. You will provide support to our research activities, through the Colorectal Research Group investigating prognostic and predictive factors in colorectal cancer using molecular techniques. 

With a BTEC Higher National Certificate or equivalent, and relevant laboratory experience (which can include a period of study), you will have a wide range of experience in molecular/histological techniques. Training in specific laboratory techniques will be provided if necessary.

This post is based within the School of Medicine in the newly merged Institute which will bring together the Leeds Institute of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences(LIBACS), Leeds Institute of Cancer and Pathology (LICAP), Academic Business Support team and St James’ Campus Infrastructure Facilities. The name of the new institute is currently being considered and will be confirmed in the near future. The post is located in the Wellcome Trust Brenner building at St.James’s University Hospital.
