Widening Participation and Outreach Champion 


University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a Widening Participation and Outreach Champion to the team of staff that will deliver the early years & BMedSci for the BMBS medicine course (A10L & A18L) at the new University of Nottingham Lincoln Medical School, a partnership with the University of Lincoln.


The Widening Participation and Outreach Champion will report to the Associate Dean of Medicine and will work closely other academic and professional services staff at both universities to support the recruitment to medicine of school children to whom a career in medicine may seem unobtainable.The post older will develop key relationships with the Widening Participation, Schools and Colleges Liaison and Admissions and Marketing teams and play an important role in developing the medical school’s strategy for widening participation


The post will be based at the University of Lincoln Campus, but travel between both universities and to external stakeholders, schools and colleges will be required.


Candidates must have a medical degree, be on the GMC specialist register or general practice register, and be a member of a medical college or equivalent.  This post is suitable for a senior doctor who is interested in developing and consolidating a career in Medical Education


Salary will be within the range: £76,761 - £103,490 per annum (pro rata), depending on seniority, and is available from 1st January 2019.


It is a condition of this post that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
