About You

A problem solver, you will also be comfortable using your own initiative, prioritising your workload and working effectively under pressure. With knowledge of library specific software including library management system software, you will have significant experience of the book trade and library supply chain. The ideal candidate will be pro-active and forward-thinking in addition to taking a creative, problem-solving approach to the improvement and development of procedures.  Excellent customer care skills and a ‘can do’ attitude are essential for this position.

About the Role 

The post will have operational responsibility for the efficient day to day purchasing and management of materials from the subscriptions and monograph budgets. The post holder will work in partnership with the academic engagement team to support the needs of our student and academic community. This will include providing professional advice and guidance on collection management processes and procedures and have responsibility for evaluating and monitoring the impact of new initiatives and policies.
