The role

This is a hands on role providing leadership on all aspects of reactive and planned maintenance on all university property; managing staff, staff costs (including overtime)and contractors as necessary.   Establishing and controlling operational budgets for planned, long term maintenance and reactive works to achieve best value for money and meet customer expectations/ SLAs.

The ideal candidate

Relevant technical and managerial experience in a similar roleGood knowledge of building, construction and maintenance servicesEducated to degree level or a Member of a professional institution e.g. MCIOB, RICSHealth and Safety qualification (IOSH) plus a good applied knowledge A working knowledge of the current IEE Regulations for Electrical Installation and the Electricity Supply Regulations
