The Library is a key academic support department in the University, providing students and staff with flexible, responsive services which underpin teaching, learning and research.

We are looking for a Library Assistant to join our busy Customer Services team, working in the Evening and Weekend team. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of consistent, efficient and courteous customer services, including assistance with self-service and lending support, reshelving returned items and first line IT, directional and information enquiries. You will have previous experience of working in a library, preferably in a higher education environment, and have excellent customer services skills, together with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This is a fixed term post until 28th June 2019.

This post is for alternative weekends only.

The post-holder will work as part of the Customer Services team. 

The post-holder will report to the Library Team Leader (Evening & Weekend) 

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2
