The Mason group is seeking an outstanding Biochemist to lead and collaborate on a new CRUK funded project centred on peptide discovery. Applicants should be highly skilled and motivated. 

The prestigious CRUK funded position is available full time to start as soon as possible, for up to 2 years in the first instance, with the potential to be extended. The project will focus on high throughput screening of peptides to inhibit protein-protein interactions implicated in disease. The role will involve a high degree of teamwork and multidisciplinary research. 

Essential criteria for the role are as follows:

A PhD in Biochemistry or a related discipline (e.g. chemical biology, molecular biology)
A strong research track record
Capability and creativity in experimental design
A high level of experience in molecular cloning and protein biochemistry
The ability to mentor and develop junior team members
The ability to co-ordinate, plan and execute research and routine studies to a high standard.
