The School of Art is located at Grand Parade in Brighton.

The school draws together a comprehensive range of disciplines and professions that span fine art, design and applied arts.

We are looking for a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Professional Practice with a broad knowledge of the business practice within the fashion and textiles industries and an ability to impart this knowledge and experience whilst also understanding the requirements of the university environment and the programme of courses.The Fashion & Textiles programme at the University of Brighton is known for an exciting and energetic design philosophy, research excellence, innovative teaching and strong links with the creative industries.

The University of Brighton comprises a dynamic group of scholars and practitioners working in a unique teaching and research environment that enables exploration in traditional skills of design, industry-based technologies such as CAD, digital printing and laser cutting as well as cross disciplinary collaboration with those engaged in electronics, engineering and medicine.
