Foundation Year Lecturer in Chemistry

The creation of the new Foundation Studies Centre - Science, is a milestone in the development of the University of Lincoln and is based within the College of Science.

The University is set in the heart of the beautiful, safe and friendly city of Lincoln. The University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, ambitious and international institution with high aspirations and strong record of widening participation in Higher Education.

Due to course popularity, we are seeking talented scientists to join the current teaching team, applicants will be motivated team members and will develop and deliver modules for the Science Foundation Year located within the College of Science. The Centre’s focus is to provide Foundation Year programmes, in preparation for students to transition onto the major degree programmes offered by the College, within the Schools of Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physics, and Pharmacy.  

We are seeking talented individuals who have a strong track record and commitment in developing and delivering innovative A level (FHEQ level 3) or equivalent curricula in Chemistry. You will have a collegiate approach enabling you to work with staff across the different subject disciplines within the Centre and the College and will have the ambition to succeed in an exciting, thriving and supportive atmosphere. 

Applications are strongly encouraged from individuals within the Secondary and Further Education sectors as well as those currently within Higher Education.

The successful applicant will report to the Head of Foundation Year Studies, Kerry Blagden, who is herself an experienced transition support practitioner, with extensive experience in the secondary and HE sectors.
