Apprentice Recreation Assistant (N1779)

Lancaster University Sports Centre is looking to recruit a Recreation Assistant to assist in the provision of high quality sport and leisure services to customers.

You will be enthusiastic; self-motivated and committed individual and possess excellent customer care skills, whilst having a mature and responsible approach. Working with a strong committed team your duties will include supervising the swimming pool and ensuring that the Sports Centre operates to a high standard throughout the day.

Experience working in a customer focussed environment and a flexible approach to work is essential together with good personal organisation and communication skills. 

You will need to have a current National Pool Lifeguard qualification and a first aid certificate is desirable.

You will have the opportunity to study for a qualification in Leisure Operations in conjunction with Lancaster and Morecambe College. The training will take 20% of the working week.

This is a full time, indefinite post.
