The Higher Education sector is changing and so is the procurement service in order to ensure our procurement arrangements reflect the University strategy by embedding a category managed approach delivering value for money through high quality arrangements. As a senior member of the team you will need a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to build strong, productive relationships with a diverse stakeholder group - including academic and research staff, heads of the University’s professional services functions and key external suppliers and partners.

The Procurement Service plays an important role in supporting colleagues in procuring a diverse range of goods, services and works which are critical to the successful operation of the University. Furthermore our iSolutions team provide help and support to students, staff and researchers regarding everything IT, from a Windows desktop to high performance computing. This exciting position brings together the opportunity to work alongside both teams to support the procurement of key IT infrastructure including hardware, software, network resource and services for the University.

You should have previous experience of working in a complex financial environment, be able to demonstrate your significant experience in developing, managing and implementing IT category plans and delivery of associated savings and benefits. Please see the job description for full role details.
