We are looking for a suitably experienced leader to join our team taking over the pivotal role of Section Supervisor. This is a unique opportunity to continue the award winning work of the Post and Portering service, but also bring new ideas to ensure we continue to stay efficient and effective to the University community.

We offer a service to the University community and as such an exceptional customer motivated attitude is essential.

Although you will be required to undertake task related paperwork, this is a ‘hands on’ manual working position, so has a requirement to undertake large amounts of manual-handling and therefore you should be capable of this.

This is a permanent position, with a basic working week of 36 hours, some overtime will be required

You will be able to prove the relevance of your experience, including the supervision of a team providing a similar function and have an excellent understanding of Health and Safety issues. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage staff, and be able to liaise with external contractors and suppliers alike. You will be computer literate and used to working to, and meeting deadlines. You should possess a full UK driving license and be used to driving large vans.
