Part Time Information Librarian - Acquisitions (Fixed Term) (MS6160-R)

The University of Bath Library is seeking a qualified Librarian to cover the secondment of the permanent postholder to another Library role.  The vacancy will run from October 2018 to 25th January 2019.  This post is part-time (18.75 hours per week).  Given the temporary nature of this vacancy, we can accommodate some flexibility over which days of the week (between Monday and Friday) are worked.

You will line-manage a small team and take responsibility for delivering an optimal print and electronic book acquisition service, liaising with Library team members, particularly Subject Specialists, publishers and suppliers.

In addition to acquiring and paying for stock, you will be involved in diagnosing and solving any electronic book access problems for Library users, collating and analysing statistical information and advising  on purchasing options and models.

As part of your line-management responsibilities, you will be responsible for conducting Staff Development Performance Reviews and training your team as new procedures evolve.
