Description :

The University of Bath has excelled at Learning and Teaching and has earned a reputation for excellence in education. The Centre for Learning and Teaching is leading an institution-wide curriculum transformation to continue to enhance the experience of our students. Inclusion is a core principle of this transformation, and the Centre is therefore seeking an individual with relevant expertise and experience who can help us to develop and deliver best practice in this field. We are looking for a positive, engaging Curriculum Development Officer to work with colleagues in academic and professional service departments in order to support the process and to facilitate cultural and structural change in the long term.

The post will be located primarily in the Centre for Learning and Teaching but will work closely with academic departments. It will be line-managed by our Curriculum Development Manager. The post-holder will work closely with colleagues in the Centre for Learning and Teaching, including the Centre Director and Head of Learning and Teaching, as well as staff in Academic Registry.

The curriculum redevelopment programme will help to establish the Centre for Learning and Teaching as a central hub of expertise and good practice which provides pro-active support to colleagues across the University.

Applicants with current or recent experience in working on curriculum development at University level, either in a practitioner or support role, are particularly encouraged to apply.

This post is full time (36.5 hours per week) and is being offered on a fixed term contract basis for up to 3 years.

For an informal discussion about this role please contact Dr. Andrew Pitchford on 01225 385023 or via e-mail a.p.pitchford@bath.ac.uk.
