The Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Surrey is seeking to recruit a member of academic staff to support its research and teaching.  The Department benefits from extensive national and international collaboration, excellent facilities, and strong links with industry. 

Research activity is currently centred around 5 research themes: Energy and Materials, Digital Process and Innovation, Formulation and Products, Food and Health, Water Process Technology. The appointee would be expected to have an appropriate engineering (or related discipline) background and to undertake high quality research in one of these areas of research. Chemical Engineering formed part of a very successful REF 2014 General Engineering return. Experience with EPSRC applications and grants will be preferred.

The appointee will be expected to teach students on our undergraduate and MSc programmes in Chemical Engineering. These are well established programmes attracting large numbers of highly qualified students.  An ability and enthusiasm for delivering a high quality student experience is essential and experience in and enthusiasm for supervising design projects would be welcome. Chartered Engineer status would also be desirable.

Depending on experience, qualifications and research track record, appointments will be made at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.
