Communications Officer (MKT081)

The Communications Officer will report to the Head of Communications and Events and work within our busy and fast-paced Marketing department. This is a demanding and interesting role for an enthusiastic Communications professional. The role has a large media relations remit so in-depth media experience is required, but you will also work across wider communications functions. 

The successful candidate will be able to develop and deliver proactive media campaigns, have the ability to act as a spokesperson for the university and have a proven track record of working with media. You will be highly literate and an excellent writer, with high-level attention to detail, practiced in drafting copy for press releases, website news stories, social media posts, blogs, opinion pieces, corporate collateral etc.

In addition, the post holder will have a degree or equivalent qualification, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
