The Library is a key academic support department in the University, providing students and staff with flexible, responsive services which underpin teaching, learning and research.

We are looking for a Library Assistant to join our busy Customer Services team, working in the day team. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of consistent, efficient and courteous customer services, including assistance with self-service and lending support, reshelving returned items and first line IT, directional and information enquiries. You will have previous experience of working in a library, preferably in a higher education environment, and have excellent customer services skills, together with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint.

This post is for 37 hours per week. The hours of work are Monday 8:30 - 5, Tuesday 11-7, Wednesday 8:30 -5, Thursday 8:30-5 and Friday 8:30-5.

The post-holder will work as part of the Customer Services team. 

The post-holder will report to the Assistant Director; User Experience and Learning Support.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
