Cleaning Supervisor (M196)

We have a vacancy for a term-time only Cleaning Supervisor within the Facilities Division at Lancaster University. Facilities are responsible for all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, catering and general upkeep of the Estate.

You should be hard working, reliable, have a keen eye for detail and possess excellent customer service skills. Experience is essential and you should be working in a similar environment, committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems.    

Knowledge and/or a relevant qualification in health and safety is desirable as is an NVQ Level 2 in a related subject. You should be prepared to undertake further training and development and must be educated to Functional Skills level 1 in English and Maths, which is equivalent to GCSE Grade D – G.

The contracted hours for the vacancy is 36.5 per week, Monday to Friday; however occasional weekend work will be required. 

As this is a term-time post, the successful applicant will only be required to work 36 weeks per year.Exact working weeks to be agreed between the line manager and applicant before commencing employment.
