The LUMS Careers Team provides a dedicated service to our career-focused students. The service is central to the student experience and the role of Placements and Internships Officer is a crucial aspect supporting students into placements and internships, working with employers and visiting students out on placement.

This is a busy and important post where you will be part of team that advise and guide students on our placement schemes – approximately 450 students in each year group. You will create and deliver workshops supporting students’ successful placement searching and developing professional skills. You will also be responsible for growing new opportunities with employers.  You will visit students on placement, travelling throughout the UK and Europe, sometimes with overnight stays.  You will be a professional with careers related experience along with excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload. With excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, you will be a crucial part of our award winning team.
