At the University of Nottingham, our Childcare Services have a reputation for excellence and we have achieved 'Outstanding' ratings from Ofsted. We offer a range of childcare provisions for children from 4 months to 12 years at our Day Nursery and Playcentre, delivered by competent, skilled practitioners.

To join our team you must be an outstanding child centered early years professional, already holding a relevant degree in the field, or a minimum level 3 qualification recognised as full and relevant by the NCTL and currently studying towards a degree.

With a strong commitment to high quality provision, you will need to be creative and able to provide a stimulating, awe-inspiring environment for children that engages their interest, their curiosity and exploration and discovery skills. Working as part of a dedicated team you will be required to:

Establish strong relationships with children and their families providing a safe and secure emotional environment within which children can thrive.Be a named key person to a group of children, ensuring that their individual needs are identified and met within our setting.Ensure that the environment is hygienic, safe, stimulating, exciting and encourages children to actively explore, experiment and investigate the world in which they live.Carry out and analyse observations, produce individual development plans and provide activities that are tailored to individual needs.Provide for children’s individual care needs and promote self-help skills

This vacancy is for two position as listed below;

Position 1: Permanent, job share contract, working Wednesday to Friday, 23 hours per week.

Position 2: 1 Year fixed term contract, full-time working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
