Description :

Applications are invited for the post of High Performance Sport Officer at the University of Bath.

Our history is one of continuously striving to be a leading centre for performance sport, and we are committed to pursuing purposeful impact. We recognise the importance of attracting and investing in the development of outstanding student-athletes as a central component of our performance environment, and in supporting their unique contribution to our sporting experience. As such, this is an important and demanding position.

As the High Performance Sport Officer, you will most likely be a practitioner in the field of lifestyle and/or coaching, with a focused approach to the support of performance environments and people development. Allied to this, you will be experienced or have a keen interest in the field of scholarships and athlete recruitment, and you will be committed to working collaboratively with a range of professional services in order to pursue strategic ambitions.

You will have responsibility for the provision of lifestyle and well-being services to our performance teams and athletes, and have the opportunity to design the way in which we approach this important area; therefore, experience in working with other professionals across sport science and other disciplines as part of an integrated approach, a team-focused attitude and willingness to effectively challenge how and why we do things is critical.

Finally, as part of a diverse team within the field of Training and Development, there is the opportunity, if qualified, to support the education of practitioners in your area of expertise, and to be a part of an organisational wide environment that reflects a desire to promote continuous improvement, be shaped by a culture that embraces learning, and to work in a way that demonstrates a passion and commitment towards the development of people.
