Our staff and students are innovative, creative and curious, pushing the boundaries of media practice and research. Through a range of courses, we are redefining media landscapes. Joining the Birmingham School of Media as a Senior Lecturer in Public Relations, you will be working across our Media degree, collaborating on live briefs and industry projects. You will have teaching experience across the breadth of PR and media and have a flair for pedagogical innovation and student engagement. You will be an experienced tutor, able to demonstrate innovations in teaching and learning, responding to the changing needs of students. You should be aware of the demands within the Higher Education sector and respond to these with pedagogical innovations and supportive initiatives. You should have strong industry links and ways to bring this into the classroom to support the student run Eastside PR agency. You will also provide support and mentoring to individual students via our personal tutor system. The School focuses on building a community of creative collaborators so being able to work in teams in different ways is desirable. Organisational and administrative skills are essential and your experience in these areas should be demonstrated in your application.
