Description :

The earliest Libraries had archives full of clay tablets and papyrus.

Classification systems have been found to have been around in 1900BC.

Now we have books which have dominated the Library world as far back as anyone can remember.

Then, in recent decades with the increase of technology, Libraries provide online resources and library access for hundreds of thousands, millions of people, in most countries.

Here at the University of West London, we invite you to help us make the offering for our students, better.

We’re looking for an Interim Head of Resources and Technology, to ensure efficient use and development of Library resources, through the use of technology, efficient process and supplier relationships.

You’ll manage projects between Library services, IT and external systems suppliers to ensure the Library and by extension our Students' needs are met.

In conjunction with the University’s Research and Scholarship Strategy, you will develop our research and scholarly communications support, enabling us to be an even more efficient function.

You will oversee the development of the Library's Content Strategy, ensuring our print and online collections meet evolving University needs.

We’re looking for someone who understands IT Project Management concepts and fundamentals, an individual with the experience of working within Library Services, who would value an environment in which they could work creatively and conceive innovative solutions.

There isn’t a better time to join the University of West London, so apply today to take the next step in a bright new career.

Everyone will get a response.
