The Placement and Employment Service engage with employers, students, academic schools, central service departments and the local community to expand the choice and quality of employment opportunities on offer across disciplines with the aim of enhancing our students’ exposure to the world of work.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our busy but friendly team, to facilitate and support the increasing numbers of students into placements in the UK and overseas. Reporting to the Placement Manager, you will be responsible for set student cohorts across our Business, Computing and Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism, Media and Music schools and colleges. You will help increase employer links to source and promote placement opportunities to students, as well as deliver student presentations and offer one-to-one support to students throughout their placement journey.

You will work closely with Careers Consultants and academic staff to support students’ before, during and after placement. A key part of the role is working with employers to development partnerships and support on campus employer engagement activities.

You will need to enjoy working in a fast paced environment and achieving targets. This is a hands-on role that requires an enthusiastic and innovative individual. You must be able to think on your feet, work independently but also as part of a team with ability to enthuse and inspire students.
