Grounds Person Apprentice (M200)

Lancaster University are seeking to appoint a Grounds Person within the Facilities Department to work on maintaining and improving the University campus grounds and outdoor sports facilities including Forrest Hill Golf Course. 

This is an apprenticeship role, and the successful candidates will need to undertake and complete an on the job industry recognised training course within sports turf or horticultural.

Individuals will need to have experience in using a wide range of grounds maintenance equipment and have grounds and horticultural knowledge.

You will need to be self-motivated, have an eye for detail and take pride in you work.

Permanent, seasonal hours: average 36.5 per week, (40hrs May – July, 36.5hrs Aug – Oct, 33hrs Nov – Jan).  Candidates need to be flexible in their working arrangements, and there will be a requirement for some weekend working as part of the role.
