The School of Politics and International Relations provides a dynamic teaching environment and is one of the largest and most diverse schools in the UK.

The School of Politics and International Relations is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor (Teaching) with expertise in International Relations theory and security studies. The individual will make a significant contribution to the School’s teaching programme at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in a relevant field of International Relations, excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to collegiality. The role involves marking assessments at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, pastoral care of students and an administrative responsibility within the School.

The post is on a fixed term basis, available from 1 January 2019 to 31 July 2020. Hours of work will be full-time (36.25 per week).
