Description :

We have available a full time, permanent post as a Senior Teaching Fellow or Lecturer. With a range of clinical expertise you will join our motivated and creative teaching team at the University of Southampton. 

You will have a range of Occupational Therapy experience and be able to bring innovative teaching methods and contemporary practice-based experience to our well-established curriculum. You will be expected to support a range of teaching and learning experiences, including module leadership and practice education visits. 

As part of the Occupational therapy teaching team you will contribute to the development of the revalidated programme due to commence in 2019. You will also have responsibility for module(s) leadership relevant to your clinical expertise. Other tasks may include

contributing to the design and delivery of programmes including, session delivery, marking and examiningclinical visiting and placement support;student support and progressionquality monitoring and enhancement activities across Faculty and University teams

You will be joining a vibrant academic community committed to extending understanding in research, education, and practice to create integrated educational programmes unique to the Faculty and make a positive difference to local and global health. You will receive support and line management from the Programme Manager. 

Skills and Experience

HCPC registration and be a member of RCOT and the BAOT. academic experience in higher education and formal teaching qualification(s)  recent clinical and/or research experience

This post is suitable for Occupational Therapists, registered with HCPC, who are experienced educationalists.

A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service clearance at standard level is also required.
