Description :

The Lincoln School of Engineering was founded in 2009 with HEFCE Development Funding in collaboration with Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery and other employers in the engineering sector, and is co-located with Siemens Global Training Institute.  It is the first new engineering school to be established in the UK for decades and has been extraordinarily successful: it was highlighted as a best practice case study in the Government-commissioned Wilson Review (exploring Business-University Collaboration) and awarded a Lord Stafford Award for ground-breaking collaboration between industry and academia in 2011. It was awarded the Times Higher award for Outstanding Employer Engagement in 2012, and the University has been named as one of Siemens’ Global Principal Partner Universities for research.

Robotics and Mechatronics related teaching and research is a key growth area for the school and we are now seeking a Senior Lecturer in Robotics and Mechatronics to join our team.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to support the school's growth, but also to establish a diverse and rewarding academic career in a modern and dynamic teaching and research environment. We are also particularly keen to hear from candidates with related programme leadership experience.

The University is also home to the National Centre for Food Manufacturing, the Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology, and Lincoln Centre for Robotics and Autonomous Systems, all with a strong focus in robotics related areas and providing many opportunities for cross-disciplinary working.
