An opportunity has arisen in the Department of Physics for a pro-active, self-motivated and highly organised individual to join our administrative team supporting staff and students within the Department.

The post holder will require excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage changing demands in a busy, front-facing office.  Alongside providing pro-active support to our postgraduate students and academic staff, you will act as the first point of contact for enquires to the Department, dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

You should have previous administration experience, alongside good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide strong administrative support.  Experience of using Microsoft Office is essential.  Ideally you should also have some knowledge and understanding of systems such as Agresso (finance) and SITS (student administration), and web-page management, although training and support will be provided.

You will be expected to work within and contribute to a small but busy team, and also work on your own initiative, having an adaptable and flexible attitude.
