Clinical Research Assistant (084318)

The Surrey CRC, part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, is a MHRA phase I supplementary accredited research unit specialising in sleep and wake research, oncology and vaccine/immunology clinical trials. The 24-bed unit is situated on the University Manor Park site close to the main University campus.

We are looking to recruit a permanent Clinical Research Assistant to work within the clinical research team to support clinical research tasks. This post will specialise within the laboratory area. Duties will include clinical research laboratory activities involving the processing of human biological samples and laboratory preparation and maintenance tasks. The post-holder will also work across the clinical research team performing clinical duties and have contact with study participants. To meet the requirements of the role you must have laboratory experience and, ideally, experience working in a clinical research setting. You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and you must be willing to work unsociable hours.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be able to work with penicillin and be willing to have the Hepatitis B vaccination.
