The University of Nottingham is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Relations professional for a fixed term period to 30 September 2019. Your focus will be to help support the University’s commitment to creating high levels of performance across all of its academic and support functions.

The priority for this post is to support the management of complex employment relations cases with an emphasis on performance management. You will also be involved in other ER matters including disciplinary, grievances and dignity cases, along with supporting organisational change projects. You will advise mangers on employment law, procedures, best practice and problem resolution.

An ability to understand the nature of the different business areas of the University to give relevant advice quickly is key.  You will be confident in your understanding of employment law and advising on the implications of decisions along with being able to support managers with business-focused, timely and effective solutions.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) and be CIPD qualified. You will have extensive relevant casework experience, be an excellent communicator, numerate and have good IT skills.
