The Department of Film, Media and Journalism at Staffordshire University has an exciting portfolio of Film and Media courses, comprising a range of highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered with a key focus on practical scholarship, industry relevance and employability. The department facilities comprise music recording studios, Multi-camera TV studio, a shoot studio, newsroom, radio suites, recording and post production suites and a range of Industry standard ENG and location kits. 


The Film and Media courses you will be working on have innovative curricula with individual creative and conceptual development of the student at their heart. The courses aim to provide an excellent student experience by combining theory with real world contextual application.


The Department is keen to appoint an enthusiastic individual who will contribute to academic delivery and development in the area of film and media with experience and skills in the field of historical and cultural knowledge, practical Industry experience and skills in the production process; preproduction ideas generation, location and studio recording and post production. It is expected that you would already possess industry experience and have the background to lead academic and research projects within the department. 


The team of staff you would be joining teach and support the delivery of a wide range of modules on campus. You will be teaching and supporting the Film and Media team across the range of recently enhanced courses: 


BA(Hons):

Advertising Film and Music Video Production.Film, TV and Radio. Experimental Film Production. Media (Film) Production.


BSc(Hons):

Post Production Technology.Film Production and Interactive Technology. 


You will be student focused, team-orientated and flexible with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presenting skills. 


You will ideally be educated to postgraduate level in a relevant discipline and posses recent experience of teaching and assessing in Higher Education.
