Category: Academic | Faculty/Division: Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences | School: School of Nursing and Midwifery | Department: Mental Health and Learning Disability | Location: City South Campus | Post Type: Full Time | Closing Date: 23 Nov 2018 | An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a committed and passionate individual to the post of Assistant Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing to join the Department of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. The successful candidate will be expected to support and develop a range of teaching and learning activities on our pre-registration BSc (Hons) Nursing course, predominantly focussing on the mental health field, with some cross field responsibilities. The successful candidate will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Level 1 Mental Health Nurse and hold a degree in mental health nursing. Additionally, he or she will be holding or be prepared to work towards a higher degree in a relevant subject. Our BSc (Hons) Nursing programme has been approved under the current NMC standards for nurse education, and we are currently working on a new curriculum to meet the new standards.
