The University of West London is seeking to appoint an outstanding, ambitious, and enterprising individual to provide vision, direction and course leadership as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Composition for the London College of Music.

Founded in 1887, London College of Music is the largest specialist Music & Performing Arts Institution in the UK. As part of the University of West London, LCM offers talented students the opportunity to enjoy a world-class Conservatoire style education within a university setting.

As Course leader you will play a key role within the London College of Music and contribute proactively to the development of all aspects of the composition area. This is an opportunity for you to enhance and diversify LCM’s composition portfolio at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Combining your higher education experience with your passion for composition and performance, you will bring creativity, ambition and fresh ideas to shape and enhance the student experience. Through your inspiring personal output, you will provide a vision for teaching and learning that resonates with our diverse body of students; offering the very best in student experience.

For appointment as Lecturer, we expect candidates to be developing academics with some teaching and industry experience, and credible professional and research portfolio relevant to the industry.

Applicants must hold a recognised teaching qualification for Higher Education. For successful applicants without relevant teaching qualifications then they will join the UWL Academic Professional degree apprenticeship scheme supporting the UK government’s commitment to up skill the UK workforce.
