Are you a proactive, motivated self-starter who would like to manage an innovative, sector-leading programme of activity that will deliver a raft of benefits to students, partners and the University? 

The Student Recruitment Directorate, which has institution-wide responsibility for undergraduate recruitment and outreach in the UK, is looking to recruit a Principal Partner College Co-ordinator. This is an exciting new role, which will lead on the operational management and co-ordination of the University’s ambitious plans for its Principal Partner College network (PPCN), ensuring that its programme of activity is highly organised, innovative and sector leading.

In addition to the overall management and co-ordination of the programme with all Principal Partner Colleges, the post holder will be expected to plan and deliver joint events based at the University of Hull campus and also on site at partner colleges. These will include:

Conferences, activities and summer schoolsPresentations and activities, which range from career and employability advice to subject specific talks and taster of University sessionsStudent workshops and advice sessions spanning subjects from coping with stress, through to preparing for exams, and more besides

The role sits within the School and College Liaison Service (SCLS), which plays a key role in positioning the University, enhancing its stature and reputation. The service promotes higher education by developing and managing outreach and widening participation events both on and off campus with targeted schools and colleges. 

The strength and reach of the University’s Principal Partner College Network (PPCN) is a key enabler of its vision to advance education, knowledge and understanding for the benefit of individuals and society at large. The PPCN promotes access to university and creates a collaborative environment for the creation and adoption of initiatives that increase widening participation and access for all. 

Reporting to the Schools and College Liaison Manager, the post holder will work with minimal day-to-day supervision and be expected to demonstrate highly-developed organisational skills and strong initiative. Meticulous attention to detail is essential for this role, together with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.  The post holder will be a team player and will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
