About the Role

Working in a team with other student callers, you will be calling graduates of the University of Hull with a view to updating our database records and asking them to support the Annual Telephone Fundraising Appeal.


Role Responsibilities

• Ensure that telephone calls are conducted in a highly professional manner.

• Deliver an accurate, friendly and appropriate message from the University of Hull.

• Follow call scripts and administration procedures to solicit appropriate gifts from the maximum number of graduates approached.

• Contribute to a telephone fundraising campaign by collecting appropriate data and recording the appropriate responses.

• Update the Alumni Database promptly and accurately.

• Any other duties commensurate with the grade as appropriate.

• The post holder will be expected to undertake all duties in line with the University Health and Safety policy.

• The post holder will show a commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices.


Skills Required

You must be a current student at the University of Hull and be able to demonstrate the following:

• Current in-depth knowledge of the University and campus.

• A confident telephone manner.

• Ability to record data accurately.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Good attention to detail.

• Flexible and reliable approach to working hours.


This role would be ideal for any individuals who are an active member of a University Club/Society or have previous experience in a similar role.


Pay/Role Details

• £9.82/hour inclusive of holiday pay.

• Variable hours for 6 weeks, February - March 2019

• Interveiw sessions for selected candidates will be held on Monday 10th December 2018 and Tuesday 11th December 2018

• Training Day for successful candidates will be held on Sunday 3rd February 2019
