The Library is a key academic support department in the University, providing students and staff with flexible, responsive services which underpin teaching, learning and research.

We are looking for 2x Library Assistants to join our busy Customer Services team, working in the day team. The successful candidates will contribute to the delivery of consistent, efficient and courteous customer services, including assistance with self-service and lending support, reshelving returned items and first line IT, directional and information enquiries. You will have previous experience of working in a library, preferably in a higher education environment, and have excellent customer services skills, together with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint.

We are recruiting for 2 positions both at 18.5 hours per week, covering different shift patterns. Please make it clear in the application, which one you'd like to apply for.

Post LR4105 is for 18.5 hours per week. The hours of work are Monday 11-7, Tuesday 8:30-5 and Wednesday 1-5.

Post LR4060 is for 18.5 hours per week. The hours of work are Monday 10-2, Tuesday 8:30-5 and Wednesday 11-7.

The post-holder will work as part of the Customer Services team. 

The post-holder will report to the Assistant Director; User Experience and Learning Support.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
