The School of Health Sciences (SHS) at the University of Nottingham, one of the 4 Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, sport rehabilitation and allied health professions.

The Division of Nursing is seeking to appointment an Assistant Professor to lead the delivery of Cognitive Behavioural and Psychological Therapy Education at the University.  The role holder will be expected to undertake a co-ordinating role to ensure the delivery of excellent education on the post-graduate certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. They will contribute to module leadership, teaching, supervision and assessment on the course alongside leading a team of teachers to facilitate effective programme delivery. 

The role holder will support and supervise students undertaking this programme, design and deliver teaching sessions, contribute to updating course materials and mark assessments in line with the University of Nottingham quality manual. They will have responsibility for maintaining standards of quality, in accordance with professional body and University requirements. 

Depending on skills, experience and research profile the successful candidate will be appointed onto either a Research and Teaching or Teaching and Learning focused role. Research and Teaching role will be expected to make a contribution to the School’s research strategy and the REF through attracting funding, undertaking and disseminating research in the field of psychological therapies.  Teaching and learning focussed role would be expected to develop the scholarship of teaching through dissemination of innovative practice and development of research led teaching.

This is a part time, 29 hours per week, permanent position.
