Student Services plays a crucial role in supporting our students to ensure their academic success is enhanced and their support needs are met.

The University is seeking a self-motivated, proactive and organised individual to work effectively in the Welfare team within Student Services. The successful candidate will deliver an efficient, effective and informed pastoral support service to students.

The successful candidate will also act as a central dissemination point relating to student’s welfare ensuring they are provided with appropriate pastoral support.  The role involves undertaking complex casework, guidance and referral to both internal and external partners.

This is a busy role requiring excellent interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to remain discreet, calm, diplomatic and professional.  You must have proven working knowledge of the needs of individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.  Knowledge of safeguarding and the Equality Act 2010 is essential for this post, as is previous experience of working in an advisory role ideally within an educational setting.

Applicants must have good I.T. skills with proven experience of working with IT systems to record, monitor and report on a wide range of confidential matters together with attention to detail.
