The University of West London is a leading modern university specializing in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals.  The IT Department at the University of West London is a dynamic and forward-looking department and is currently undergoing a series of transitional projects to improve staffing and student IT facilities across all sites.

To that effect, we are looking for a committed, focused and experienced IT Project Manager to provide day-to-day management for assigned  IT related projects identified and prioritised as part of IT Services’ and the University’s wider business plans.  This will involve driving successful delivery through scoping, shaping, managing risks and issues, stakeholder’s expectations, benefits realisation and establishing plans laying out a clear way forward.

The successful candidate will also have experience of working as a Business Analyst to improve the quality of the services being delivered through IT.They will be able to perform the liaison function between the business side of an enterprise and the providers of IT technology throughout the systems development life cycle. Having experience of activities ranging from developing business cases and defining ASIS/TOBE models to assisting with the integration, testing and deployment of new solutions.

The role is therefore a senior one with broad scope and requires strategic thinking with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English. It requires the ability to work with senior stakeholders, prioritise workloads effectively, balancing conflicting deadlines and achieving results and deliverables within fixed timescales. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, dynamic individual with a flexible approach to work, a strong desire for quality and a keen attention to detail.
