Category: Professional/Support | Hub: BG Enterprise | Department: BG Futures | Closing Date: 18 Nov 2018 |   Here at Bishop Grosseteste University we’re looking for talented Business Skills Advisors to engage with local businesses across Greater Lincolnshire. Working with the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, we are delivering an exciting contract funded via the European Social Fund/Education & Skills Funding Agency. We are now seeking to appointnew Business Skills Advisors on a full-time or part-time, fixed-term contract, to join our existing team of sector specialists.   Business Skills Advisors will sign up businesses, including both SMEs and micro businesses; they will undertake a detailed training needs analysis and present back a specific action plan for each business. Post holders will also work impartially with colleges and other training providers to ensure that training is developed which meets employers’ skills needs.   The successful candidate must possess strong organisational, networking and communication skills, particularly in the delivery of workshops, events and other activities as required. An advisor must have the skills, training and analytical expertise to work with a wide range of businesses and, in particular we prioitise certain key sectors and welcome applicants with the following specialisms: manufacturing (particularly engineering), ports/logistics, the visitor economy (incorporating hospitality and retail) – also working with Construction, Digital/IT and HR/Accountancy as well as sectors not listed here.   Previous applicants need not apply.   The above posts are funded by a contract awarded to Bishop Grosseteste University by the European Social Fund and the UK Education and Skills Funding Agency for improving the labour market relevance of education and training systems.
