Applications are invited to the above role to support the organisation and preparation of undergraduate laboratory practical classes, operating in conjunction with the Teaching Technical Team, under the line management of the Teaching Laboratory Manager, Medical School site.

The School of Life Sciences provides a number of undergraduate and post graduate degrees, in a wide range of disciplines and this role is to provide technical support for the taught practical classes associated with these.

The candidate must have proven skills and good knowledge of techniques covering asceptic techniques, Western Gel Blotting, Agarose Gel electrophoresis, SDS Page Gel electrophoresis, Protein expression & Purification, and PCR Techniques in order to maintain and repair a technically demanding wide range of modern advanced equipment. 

Candidates must hold the minimum of HNC in a relevant subject or equivalent qualifications, plus considerable work experience in a relevant role or substantial work experience in a relevant role.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Job share arrangements may be considered.
