You will report directly into the Head of School and work closely with the Head of Course Operations and members of the Senior Management Team and Heads of Department within the school. The roles As Team Leader you will focus on motivating your team to deliver a responsive, proactive, customer-focused academic administration service. Working closely with colleagues in the Faculty, the wider Department and across the University, you'll oversee the development of effective systems and processes, and establish service standards. We are looking for two types of team leaders, team leaders to lead school course administration and team leaders with administrative responsibility. The Team Leaders with a course focused responsibility will work with and lead their team of Course Administrators, to provide an outstanding service to Heads of School, school based staff, wider university colleagues and external stakeholders. The team leaders with an administrative responsibility will work with their team of Administrative Assistants to provide an outstanding service to all school-based staff, wider university colleagues, external stakeholders and include executive support for the Head of School. The Team Leaders play a vital role in ensuring that we achieve high staff and student satisfaction across the university and as each school is slightly different these posts also vary in their exact specification and responsibility. You will have an opportunity to discuss this further if selected for interview. The person You will have a degree level education (or equivalent experience) alongside proven administrative, IT and customer service experience within a complex environment. It is essential that you have proven experience in a leadership role with a real emphasis on people and resource management, Higher Education experience is desirable but not essential. It is a requirement of the role to have experience working within a pressurised environment, being able to work successfully to set deadlines and contractual requirements. Furthermore you will need to demonstrate your skills and experience in developing and coaching team members to ensure that we exceed stakeholder expectations.
